Annie Brown Stone papers, 1861-1869 [microform].

The collection consists of a microfilm copy of the papers of Annie Brown Stone from 1861 to 1869. Letters are written by and to various Stone and Brown relatives; one letter, stating the Union and Confederate view of the possible reelection of Lincoln, was written from Atlanta by a Union soldier, George T. Willson, to his sister. A furlough request is signed by J. Stone; a petition is signed by members of the 6th Georgia State Troops, to Judah T. Benjamin and is a recommendation for an assistant surgeon of a regimental hospital. Two agreements are between employers and apprentices.

Annie Brown Stone, her brother Milton Brown, his wife Sue, and "little" Maggie, Milton and Sue's daughter, lived in the Talledega, Alabama, area in the latter half of the nineteenth century.
